CAT IN BLACK PROJECT
I am an Egyptian artist who was greatly influenced by ancient Egyptian art and the abstract school. I wanted to mix the two together to create a different style that combines antiquity with modernity.
I have studied the cats’ bodies in details for more than three months between the anatomy of the body In different positions and I started to show the flexibility of their bodies and different shapes that appear whenever they move In my cat paintings.
Canson papers and black ink were my tools.
I didn’t want to use any colors in the cat paintings, but only black and white, in order to show the composition and color contrast.

Sculpture is one of the most beloved types of arts to my heart.. I like to shape my statues with various types of clay and I am very interested in making hanging masks inspired by Pharaonic art, African art and Contemporary art, I use to draw on the mask surface with Acrylic colors, Gold paper and decorate it with motifs and much more materials…
I feel an unparalleled pleasure when I prepare a mold of clay and start to define it, Shaping it to put my statue initial features, Then I work gradually on perfecting it and putting my desired details to create other worlds out of nothing.
MY SCULPTORES

IN MY SPARE TIME
Circles and imagination

In my spare time I like to relax by painting circles and create views from nature and imagination.
CLAY PENDANTS
My clay jewelry have varieties of motives inspired by: Pharaonic art, Egyptian folk art with its distinctive elements, and Islamic art with its abstracted ornamental style. And sometimes nature is the main motive in my work such as leaves, waves and oceanic colors..etc.
LOOKING UP PROJECT
I love the art of sculpturing and painting, so I mixed them both together to create special pieces with unique value by forming pieces of clay jewelry, then painting it with acrylic colors or mixing it with various other materials that serve the artwork, such as gold leaves, beads, shells and much more..

AFRICAN SPIRIT PROJECT
I have always liked the art of portrait because it highlights the spirit and the depth of character drawn by just looking at facial expressions, especially the eyes. I choose to use pastel colors in my African line. Although these colors are difficult to use because it is hard to remove the color and change it if it is placed on paper.. However, I preferred to use it because I mix colors using my own fingers directly, and this makes me more connected with the artwork and more able to convey my feeling in my paintings. I prefer to paint portraits of dark-skinned people in particular, because they are very shiny, which clearly shows the shadow and light on the skin, so it looks as if it was carved with perfection.. I love highlighting these details specifically in my paintings. Most of my paintings in African calligraphy depend on drawing portraits, highlighting its details, and simplifying any other element present in the painting, such as ornaments, fabrics, or any other dispersed elements. I used black charcoal pen here to draw the outlines in a simplified manner for these secondary elements.

My name is Riham.. Painter and sculptor, born in 1978 I graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Art Education in Cairo / Zamalek .. I love art since my childhood. My mother was the first person who noticed my distinction in art and develop my artistic skills. She keened to provide various types of colors in my hands and this helped me a lot to get acquainted with artistic materials from the earliest age.. Among these materials was colored clay، I used to make little sculptures and some childish murals of a cheerful multi-colored spirit that mimic nature at the same time.. After growing up I decided to study art in an academic way.
I also interested In photography art especially portrait photography which I loved very much and I considered it as a type of drawing but it is drawn with light instead of colors.

Through my paintings and sculptures, I seek changing audience’s perceptions of artistic taste and add a new artistic vision..
My goal is to avoid circles of superficial or repetitive art.
